Character in Training (CIT), a faith-based evening offering for 4th-6th graders Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5-8pm.

Guided activities support personal character and citizenship development through a variety of interactive lessons focused on compassion and conviction, personal empowerment, and restraint and resistance to negative peer pressure.

We have a four step approach to apply to youth in our programs:

We emphasize character

Explain each character quality and how it applies to life.

We require character

Once the character standard of behavior is established we hold each other accountable.

We correct character

We also address the lack of character and choices that are detrimental to our success.

We recognize character

We make every effort to celebrate good character and praise students for growth with rewards and incentives.

This program challenges students with practical character goals to achieve and to overcome unhealthy behaviors and conduct that is detrimental. We desire students to reflect God’s character of love in all areas of daily life. We teach them to respect themselves as well as respecting others.
