During the season, we demonstrated the meaning of ThanksLiving by partnering with one of our church partners, The Summit, Lee's Summit. The church created 100 boxes of shelf stable sides such as green beans, corn, sweet potatoes, gravy, and so much more. Each box weighed about 15 pounds and was valued at $25.
The Hope Center distributed these boxes the Monday before Thanksgiving. We delivered boxes to various families, one of our homes association partners, and their community-wide celebration at Brush Creek Community Center. Shout out to all those who helped this happen, Summit church and members of our staff members.
